Pros

- Free coffee every shift - Other baristas were awesome - Fast paced, sometimes fun - Customers were great for the most part - Pretty easy compared to other coffee shop jobs

Cons

- The number one issue is that my manager was kind of a miserable person and really not good at their job, and all my other cons are a direct result of that. - Upper level management were all very kind and lovely people, but completely non-responsive when big issues arose. - Short staffed at times to a concerning/dangerous degree. - After a big medical emergency that happened at work, I was not allowed to leave because there weren't enough people in the store. Pretty much immediately after that, I was removed from the work groupchat and told there "weren't any hours available for [me] to work" right now, and that my manager would "let [me] know if any hours opened up". I was told this as though we weren't /massively/ short staffed as it was, and as though that wasn't the exact reason I couldn't leave to go to the hospital. I literally never heard from my manager ever again, but never got fired. It was all through the grapevine, but old coworkers who I was friends with said that after that, our manager openly spoke at work about never giving me hours again. - This isn't a poor reflection on the company necessarily, but one of the people I worked with said some pretty crazy bigoted stuff almost every shift we worked together, and the manager always "spoke to them" about it, but it never stopped. I was never the target of it, but it was happening in front of me. It was a shame that months went by and nothing ever changed.

Pros

Company events, Free coffee, staff outings.

Cons

Favoritism, The lack of diversity is unbelievable, poor management, no benefits and they don’t make that clear at all, petty drama, no room to move up, micro aggressions, confusing policies no one is ever on the same page with anything and every store has different health protocol, different training protocols and no store or manger is on the same page with recipes, cleaning procedures, dress code and they are never clear with anything.
