Pros
In a few short months, I will have worked at this company for 5 years. It actually feels like yesterday that I was coming into interview and I had contemplated even taking the job in the first place. I look back and realize that it was probably one of the best things I could have done. I think back on the projects I have been a part of, the people I have worked with, and the different and unique individuals I have been able to meet and who's story I have been able to be a part of due to the nature of what RouteMatch does. It truly is unique to work for a company who's sole purpose is to help others get to where they need to be in a more effective way. It's a company that helps people, help people. Glassdoor doesn't give an accurate depiction of who or what RouteMatch is as a company. Mostly because anyone who posts on here feels slighted or wronged when in reality they either just weren't a right fit for the company, its values, or its work ethic. I've seen plenty of people leave the company thinking they will find a better job, location, money, you name it, only to find out that the grass isn't always greener. Typically they are at another job 6 months later after realizing they had it a lot better previously. Anyone who has left over money has typically thought they were worth more than they actually are and probably wanted to receive gold stars just for attendance. It doesn't work that way and they don't allow that here. That isn't to say that they don't have a good time outside of work. It is a work hard, play hard reality. I have had some of the best bosses that I think you can find. Not all of them are meant to be managers, but all of them have knowledge to share and are put into their positions because of that. I've learned from leaders in every department which anyone can do; however, you have to be willing to learn and want to grow. The stagnant won't last because they are quickly left behind by the group who wants to advance. Management will work you hard, and some days are going to be longer than others, but they have been going out of there way to be open and clear about what is going on so you understand like the hard work has meaning. I started around the same time as more than a handful of employees, and almost all of them are still at this company today who have moved on to higher positions in the company. I have never felt like the company has held me back or that they weren't helping me achieve my goal to be the best around (no one's ever going to bring me down). With that in mind, I think they practice what they preach that this company is like a family. They'll be tough on you, but only to help you succeed in the end whether that is at RouteMatch or elsewhere. Cons
There have been some rough patches and rocky terrain over the past 5 years, but there has been course correction to get back on track. Over the past year management has gone out of their way to make everything as transparent as possible with monthly company meetings, multiple company outings a quarter, and different events from time to time. The only issue I have is that there might be a lack of process in some departments or even cross departments when things need to get handled in a timely manner. People who have left already were mostly people who didn't understand time management or respect any form of process.
