Pros

Most have their own offices. Decent food in the cafeteria. Interesting products.

Cons

This company doesn't seem to operate as a merit-based company. It seems to operate as a high school clique which operates via popularity. The politics are bizarre to say the least, and there is little accountability. Some areas of the company are heavily loaded with staff, but it's unclear what value they produce. Certain members of management seem to ride the coattails of their favorite staff members, seeking ways to justify their own existence. Does SAS really still sell software, or does it exist based on renewals? This is not a place to work long-term if you want marketable skills for use elsewhere.

Pros

Benefits: health coverage, on-site gym, childcare, healthcare center, and more. Work-life balance: predictable hours, flexibility for parents and a culture that doesn't expect you to grind 60-hour weeks.

Cons

Compensation lags the market, slow career advancement and promotions can take years. Change-resistant culture and new ideas move slowly. Leadership team manages up to just one person.
