Pros
I have previously posted a very positive review of SCISYS and after returning for a second stint much of the positive holds true. There is a very good work life balance, a good range of products and and a very solid company. Many of the people are very nice and work hard in a very good atmosphere. The company is growing strongly through acquisitions and organic growth there are real opportunities there and you will always have the chance to achieve your personal objectives.
Cons
Sadly some of the cons have got worse, there is a real clique culture and should one be slightly outside of that clique things can be made very difficult. For example a senior manager wrote something very aggressive and negative on a company whiteboard about a member of staff and despite that member of staff complaining HR did nothing to remedy it even though the senior manager admitted doing it. I was told that I was being moved off my project and there was nothing for me to work on (despite being a highly skilled software engineer, this was because of the aforementioned senior manager having a problem with me) but instead of being made redundant I was left to sit with no work. I found another job and resigned. After resigning my line manager and other managers refused point blank to communicate with me or to answer questions allowing me to do my job. A few days before my exit I was unceremoniously removed from the premises without warning and in front of my colleagues leading them to believe that I had been removed for misconduct which was not true and the company confirmed that in a letter but my reputation was damaged. Also the company refused to provide me with a P60 despite being asked multiple times for one. These are my experiences and I am sure that others would not face the same.
