Pros

Work in Germany HQ if you want more work life balance and that is why it earns them the Great Place To Work certification. People are important emphasis as part of SICK culture (but see cons on the equal talent opportunities and human capital management) Good growth despite confronted with COVID19 uncertainty.

Cons

Obvious global career opportunities opened up at HQ but many of these position holders lack insights, understanding, competencies to support other regions. The new strategy of the SICK has been misused by the German in a lot of ways to promote their own global career progression agenda. Poor global framework to withstand lost of talents and knee jerk reactions from German HQ due to poor culture and local business understanding corrode trust. Unproductive meetings to drive global initiatives. Good leave benefits at group but result poor productivity and support to other regions. CD IT is the best example.

Pros

Good benefits and the non-executives are good people. You’ll learn a lot in a couple of years so you won’t be bored.

Cons

Non-agile company. Internal processes keep changing/adding up making it the most non-efficient company I’ve worked for. Marching orders coming from Germany and they keep removing support engineers as they want more sales people.
