Pros

- Flexible work/life balance (you can get by doing very little) - Opportunities to feel like you are contributing to projects, initiatives, etc.

Cons

- Success is thwarted by a management team who picks specific individuals to become stars - This is a financial company disguised as a fintech start up (think bureaucracy) - Some big egos here - "Culture" and awards here are bought not earned. As an employee you will not feel the values that the company advertises - The pay is atrocious, much below market value and they will make you believe that this is all they can offer you because it is a start-up. Do not be fooled, SIMON has lots of cash, they just pick and choose where to spend it.

Pros

The company is young with a ton of amazing projects in the pipeline to keep the software engineers engaged and happy. Great opportunity to get involved in brand new projects to shape the direction and the technology used for the projects! All teams are amazing and my team specifically! My boss is a rockstar and the CTO/CEO/COO are super kind and down to earth. Usually, sales and engineers don't get along, however, this is not the case at SIMON. great individuals! Being part of WeWork is a plus. Scala is amazing!

Cons

Perks/benefits could be a little better, even though 401k and health are not too bad. Equity portion could be better even for a series C startup.
