Pros

Team atmosphere. Uncapped commission and ability to make a decent amount of money if everything works out. Selling a product (Verizon Fios) that's easy to sell.

Cons

No stability. Long days. In the office for what amounts to cult like activities every morning. Chanting bell ringing and speeches along with "training". They don't encourage two new employees to speak to each other for fear of "negging out" and exposing the pyramid scheme. Working from 9am-7pm plus travel and no expenses covered. Base draw payment scheme which is ridiculous. If you work a twelve hour day and don't make a sale, you're essentially punished by having to accept $60 taxed then pay him back in full. Only paid 85% of the commission and not told about it until after first check. In order to get promoted you need to bring 9 other people on and have at least one other person have someone working under them. Just draw a picture of what that looks like. That's a pyramid..

SSM Direct Response

Hey, Reviewer! We appreciate the pros you listed and your attempt at balance. Our response to this overall review is that we are apologetic for your experience, but are unsure if this review is to provide tangible feedback or target one individual manager. You reference "him" every other line, but we don't know whom you speak of, or where the accusation of operating a pyramid scheme came from. We're certain during your employment with us you saw that we represent a Fortune 500 client, and do all of our own hiring and onboarding, with zero expectation of anyone to have to "bring on other people to have someone working under them." Overall, we welcome you to contact our Human Resources office if you need any further clarification or feedback you would like to share. Best of luck and take care! Sincerely, SSM Direct Management Team
