Pros

I love my career choice but I love the company I work for even more!!!! I couldn't ask for anything better. I have worked for other organizations that have been hands off with employee growth and Development. Here at Sammons they encourage employee growth and development and have programs in place that help you aspire to be your best you possible. they also invest in the future focus mindset which is helping us lead and be successful into the future.

Cons

I cant think of any

Pros

SFG has changed over the years but definitely for the better. I trust leadership and enjoy everyday working for this amazing company. There is of course office politics which you’ll have everywhere but if you keep doing what you’re supposed to be doing then you’ll have no issues. ESOP, early out on Fridays, culture, flexible schedules, system enhancements including productivity improvements and genuine conversations with people you work with are some of the top favorites on my list. Plenty of SFG employees have left over the years due to their own personal lives/needs but a lot of them end up coming back for plenty of reasons but in reality it’s because we are happy working here.

Cons

None that comes to mind.

Pros

Employee stock ownership plan, that's all.

Cons

I just came back from two months off sick, to be told I'll be on a performance improvement plan / probation program next week. Not, welcome back, hope you're OK! What kind of company does that? Seems like a back door way of firing someone who's sick to me. Also : having to start at 7:30 am (no exceptions). Pay is on the low to average side. You have to work for bonuses (which means they aren't really bonuses.) Insurance is through themselves, not a major insurer.
