Pros

- Free snacks - Nice office space

Cons

I joined Screen Pilot with a lot of enthusiasm but was met with a level of manipulation and toxicity I had never experienced before. - Work Culture Issues: Management creates fear and anxiety around your job to keep you in line. If you have a minor slip-up (such as a spelling error or a small miscommunication), be aware they are keeping track so they have reason to put you on a performance plan, take away your bonus, or require you to come into the office more, as well as threaten to fire you at any time. They have no problem twisting the narrative from "spelling mistake" to "poor job performance" or "time tracking mistake" to "time theft" to prove their claim. - Communication Gaps: Obtaining a clear answer about company happenings is challenging. This was particularly noticeable with the return-to-office policy, while they claim it was "always the plan", many, if not everyone, felt in the dark with no prior indication of such change and were forced to conform with one month's notice. Yes, it is still a hybrid plan, which I'm sure they will claim is great compared to other agencies. - Conformity Over Individuality: There is a certain level of conformity that seems to be an unspoken expectation. If you put your head down and don't question anything, you'll be successful. If you stand up for yourself, you're likely to become a target. Sure, they'll say they have an open-door policy, but the CEO is hardly there and everyone else is too busy to care. - Diminishing Employee Perks: Many perks that were once a major attraction were taken away, with no new ones to replace them. I'm sure they will respond by saying a number of things are great perks for being such a small company (i.e. the personal development stipend or healthcare benefits comparable to a 500 company), but it's unacceptable to say you value flexibility and take away remote days or say you value health and wellness but take away in-office yoga with no explanation (if there was, it was not communicated.) Lastly, I would urge potential candidates to read through not just the reviews but also Screen Pilot's responses to them. There's an observable trend where responses to critiques tend to be manipulated or spun in a certain light, rather than being accepted as genuine feedback (for example, claiming people can simply "take the bus or carpool" in response to the forced return to office). That is exactly the kind of energy you'll get when working here. Seriously, save your time and go elsewhere.

Pros

I really enjoyed working at SP. Leadership is great and really values employees, their ideas, and their growth. They treat their employees with importance, they are more than just a number. The company culture is excellent, everyone is extremely hard working and dedicated to their work. Monthly happy hours are hosted by SP and are a good time to relax and connect with coworkers. This company is really innovative and always staying ahead of the curve.

Cons

Lack of work/life balance was ultimately the reason I left.

Pros

If you're young, just getting started in your career and looking to build your skills in the following, this is a great job for you. - Campaign creation & management - Budgeting & allocations across paid media channels - Client communication & relationship building

Cons

The company is very young. Most employees (apx. 80%) have been there 3 years or less joining the company either straight from college graduation or after 1 job, (they built team back up after pandemic), & most all employees have been promoted within (and up the ladder in a very short period of time). It seems like most promotions happened out of necessity, not because those individuals were overly skilled or developed in their career. Most individuals in leadership or management roles don't have the right training and this is their first time leading a team. And management styles are vastly different across the teams and departments. Great at your job? Expect your work load to increase without plans for growth or raises. And delegation is handed out without reasoning or conversation.
