Pros
Good for a stepping stone into another county or city agency as well as gaining experience in a field to launch into a career elsewhere.
Cons
Severely underpay their employees. Never staff as they should and expect everyone to work overtime all the time which leads to a horrendous retention rate. Personnel issues run rampant and god forbid you be anything but a conservative Christian and work for Shasta county. Very little room for growth as well.
