Pros
Smart, talented coworkers. Good benefits and leadership implemented a sabbatical policy that is really nice. We also just moved into a new building that has lots of collaboration spaces and meeting rooms.
Cons
Leadership is inexperienced and struggling. There have been several rounds of layoffs and people are jumping ship. Between the two, we've lost some really talented people. Morale is low because of the layoffs and COVID-19 and the constant shifting in roles and responsibilities. People are being put in charge of things they know nothing about and other leaders are simply dead weight, contributing very little to the work. We want to be strategic, but we really talk a big game and don't understand how to execute on the strategy. In reality, we're really more like order takers for the majority of our clients and live in the execution stage of a project.
