The bureaucracies of the procurement department feel unfair. There are some good leaders and there are some not okay leaders. Most of the leadership in the procurement group is fairly young, and some of the leaders they choose are not what I would consider stellar. People trying to implement worthless processes or just doing something because it might look good on a presentation slide. Looks good on a slide! But does not always work when trying to implement in real life. You usually get a yearly merit increase, but it is not enough to keep up with inflation. It is discouraging to see money spent wastefully by leaders.
