Pros

I think Smartbridge has the best happy medium between working for a big consulting firm and the risks of a startup. Its easy to get involved in whatever you want, just speak up. Yes you usually work a little more than 40+ hours a week such as any consulting firm. There's plenty of opportuities to present in an internal meeting, do community events, hackathons, etc. PTO is typical and healthcare as well.

Cons

I'm not sure where all the hostility has come from because everyone i've seen leave recently is due to the great resignation, and people saying 'it was a hard choice', but leaving for the next new shiny thing. Pay and opportunities have increased to adjust to the job market. Expectations are high though, because each person has to carry their weight to ensure projects are met.

Pros

This is a stable small business with very large diversified clients. I stay busy! Mostly remote work, depending on how far you live from the Houston office, but you come in the office anywhere from 1 day a week to a quarter.

Cons

Sometimes hard to get balance if clients and internal work are all coming down on you at once. Have to learn to prioritize and manage time on your own or you can feel overwhelmed.
