Pros
My experience at Software Tech was largely positive. I got along well with my coworkers and have nothing but good things to say about the people in management. Management, especially, really went out of their way to make sure everyone was happy and satisfied in their current roll. It was refreshing to see so much genuine care coming from the people I was working for.
For example, when I needed to completely change my availability at the last minute when one of my kids fell ill, my manager didn’t give me any crap for it. He sympathized with me and I could tell he genuinely felt sorry for the situation I was in. I don’t know how much of a headache it was for him to accommodate my needs, but he never made me feel like my job was in jeopardy for it or that it would be held against me later. I really appreciated that.
So yeah, I’ll give Software Tech 5 stars no problem. I ended up deciding to change career paths in the end. Otherwise I would have happily stayed within the Software Tech family for at least a few more years.
Cons
My biggest gripe is that I can’t take everyone I work with me to wherever I go next. The company really has created a fantastic work environment and a solid culture and I’m going to miss that and every single person who works here.
