Pros

Some good folks are there

Cons

My time at SolarReviews was an incredible roller coaster ride, going from a small, fun start up to struggling with demands of a growing corporate company. I was micromanaged, lied to, promised promotions and raises, seen severe cases of nepotism and favoritism (whoever talks loudest and brown noses the most wins). There’s a severe lack of leadership, trust, communication, and management from all offices. When the three heads of the company are located in three different parts of the world, no one is on the ground to see or hear these issues. Or care for that matter, until it’s too late. If you’re looking to advance within the company, let me tell you, you won’t. It’s not important to them. This company is not worth the stress.

Pros

A lot of people do want to drive new ideas, technology, workflows to keep up with trends.

Cons

Leadership lacks the strategic clarity and business acumen needed to effectively run the company. Decisions often feel reactive, inconsistent, and disconnected from the realities of day-to-day operations, which creates confusion and instability across teams. HR feels overly procedural and out of touch, with a heavy reliance on generic processes rather than a real understanding of roles, performance, or team contributions. This results in a lack of transparency and trust, especially around evaluations and job security. The company has clear potential, but without stronger leadership alignment and a more sustainable, well-defined business strategy, it’s hard to see that potential being realized long-term.
