Life as an Account Manager The recruiter will sell you the dream of a 6 figure salary. Good luck getting past 30 days. Only 3 Days of “training” and you are thrown in the deep end to make 70 dials per day and fetch 2 quotes. Limited product knowledge training. They have 30 reps, that includes Account Executives and Business Development Reps, call into the same markets. Oh by the way, you’re competing with inmates from the prison that the company hires to do their outbound calls. You are not given warm or marketing generated leads until you can “prove yourself” after 90 days. Again, good luck making it past 30 days. Leadership. It’s non existent. You hop on a couple calls a day for them to hype you up and rally the troops but don’t expect anything beyond that. There’s no coaching, no structure and no workplace culture. They hire 20 reps at time and keep maybe 1 or 2 for longer than 30 days. Everything shifts on a dime because even management doesn’t know what’s going on half the time. The people at the office don’t bother getting to know you because they know you won’t be there long.

The sales reps who thrive here are those who enjoy working a full 8-hour day Monday through Friday prospecting, cold calling, and ultimately making sales. We realize that it can be challenging to commit to a full 8 hours every day. As such, we understand this job is not for everyone, and we respect that. Furthermore, a remarkable and beautifully inspiring part of our company's history is our willingness to provide second chance opportunities to many deserving people. These opportunities have been life changing for our employees and we have enjoyed watching them continue to grow their careers at SpectrumVoIP. This is something that we will always be very proud of.
