Pros

Speedco was a great place to gain hands-on experience and learn the basics of the diesel industry. The work provided valuable training for someone just starting out in the field, and I was able to build skills that helped me advance my career. The fast-paced environment allowed me to learn quickly and become more confident working on commercial vehicles.

Cons

The pay was lower than expected for the workload and responsibilities. Employee morale could be affected by management attitudes, and communication in the front office was sometimes less professional than it should have been. Better teamwork and employee support would improve the overall work environment.

Pros

In the shop I had worked at, training was fast paced but easy to follow and met me where I was. Requested time off was, for the most part, approved

Cons

HR department was hard to reach if you even could reach them at all. Management was sexist and allowed colleagues to mock, belittle, or dehumanize others (including customers). Pay was not good, raises were small if you got them at all. They cut several full time workers pay and hours including mine for 'staffing reasons' and then hired several part time workers for lower pay to compensate for the decrease in efficiency. Me and other workers would get punished for working overtime but punished if we left work before hitting overtime. Disability accommodations took four months to be put in place for me when I brought the paperwork on my first day and I was then punished for using the accommodations we had agreed on
