Pros

Cool office space inside a WeWork facility with beer on tap and occasional free snacks. Friendly and easy to get along with San Francisco team. The salary was pretty nice and more than I was expecting.

Cons

The engineering team could be managed better as there didn't seem to be a sense of urgency when it came to assigning bug/feature tickets. The two offices (San Francisco and Irvine) seems to be pretty separated. A lot of the features and bug fixes that were completed and reviewed would just sit in the pull request list for a long period of time, some never even being merged. Being at the SF office for this company felt like the child that was never wanted. The SF office assumed that we were going to be laid off at the end of September because our lease in the building was up at the end of the month and no one from the upper management had the decency to tell us if we were going to move to a smaller office or not renew the lease at all. The CEO arrives a few days before the lease is up to tell us that we were all being laid off.

Pros

Great team. Awesome management. Creative environment. I feel that my opinion is heard and that we all contribute to the creative process of the company. We spend a lot of time here working and the team members feel like family. The vision of the company is inspiring and everyone here is passionate about delivering world class service to customers.

Cons

Honestly cant think of any. This is by far the best and most rewarding job I have had.

Pros

SBA is a great place to work for many reasons... Professional: - There is a lot of room for growth - I am constantly challenged to learn new things - We work hard but there is not constant pressure from management - instead we put that pressure on ourselves - The common goal of creating a great product creates a very strong team feeling Personal: - It is a great group of people - friendly, fun, and don't take themselves too seriously - Free snacks and beer! - Benefits are good - Flexible about hours and days off as long as you are getting your work done

Cons

Like any start up there have been some growing pains as we try to find people and processes that work for us. To me this is part of working for a small company but you do need to be able to adapt quickly to changes.
