Pros

- Self-management company (Holacracy): no managers, you are responsible of your own projects from A to Z! - Innovative work culture: combined use of numerous apps (asana, slack, etc.), productivity methods (GTD, kaizen, ...) and general Holacracy-related working method. Much too learn besides your everyday workload! - Fast-growing scale-up company that manages to keep its startup vibe: informal, young and full of perks (ping-pong, healthy lunch, team-building activities and holidays). - Best employer of the Netherlands 2015 & 2016 ;)

Cons

- Despite being an international company (the company has offices in Amsterdam & Berlin, is present on many markets, internal communication in English) and advertising itself as such, Springest the employee population remains mostly Dutch at this point. Important to take into account for an international applicant. - Salary not as attractive as in bigger companies (yet this is imo compensated by the learning curve, office perks and general well-being of its employees).

Pros

Joining Springest means responsibility, autonomy, continuously improving your and the companies productivity, and being part of a group of fun-loving, collaborative colleagues. - Responsibility: As a business development / sales intern, I was thrown into the deep from the start, already in my first week, I found myself representing Springest to high level management of its largest potential corporate clients. - Autonomy: You get a very clearly defined role within the company, and within that role, you have ample freedom to execute based on how you judge you can have the largest impact. You can request guidance or feedback, but are given all the freedom to fulfill your role the way you judge best. - Productivity is King: Springest grows quickly and continuously seeks to maximize the productivity of each employee. You will be given many tools to organize and work more efficiently, and encouraged to find new ones. If you think anything in the company could be done better, you are not merely encouraged, but really expected to propose a change of operations. Rewarding, and deeply insightful. - Fun, flat, and collaborative corporate culture: the other 'Springeteers" felt almost more like friends than like colleagues. Springeteers care about each other, make you feel very welcome as a new intern, and are always down to play a match of Pingpong or even to go for a swim in one of Amsterdams many canals when the sun is out.

Cons

Autonomy has its drawbacks too: guidance is certainly available, but to a large extent only when you take the initiative and ask for it. It can be challenging to ask for help, especially when you are not looking for a quick fix but rather some more general guidance or advise.

Pros

1. Springest’s work culture is agile, efficient and effective. Springest organises its work through the self-management system “Holacracy”. As an intern, you will not only learn about your daily roles and accountabilities. You also become a holacracy practitioner! This is extremely valuable since very little companies in the world offer this possibility. There is a steep learning curve at the beginning and this proves to be very motivating and exciting. 2. At Springest you are not an intern, you are a Springeteer. You are expected to do the same type of work than a full-time employee. From the beginning, trust and a sense of responsibility is given to you. 3. “Just do it” and "learning by doing" mentality. Springest encourages its employees to learn my doing. In my sales role, I was given short lectures on the product I had to pitch to companies. Very quickly, I was encouraged to start reaching out myself. Mistakes are made at the beginning and those are welcome. Your team is always ready to help you solve the areas you need improvement in. Soon enough, these consultations sessions end because by doing and learning from mistakes you learn the most and the quickest! 4. You will become a pro at IT and project management tools like: Asana, Slack and Zoom.

Cons

I have nothing negative. I learnt a lot at Springest and all interns all included in the work, which is really unique.
