This company is a ghost of its former self. The fun, optimism, and rewarding environment have dissolved to leave only a corporate husk with no soul and no loyalty to employees. Unilateral decisions are constantly made by Japan with no obvious consideration of the impact they will have on any other branches of the company. Even when concerns are voiced to Japan, they are rarely listened to, and if they are ever taken into account, I've seen no evidence of it. A few people with 900 on the TOEIC English exam and AI translation does not make up for a full translation team, and the company's recent axeing of most of the bilingual staff shows exactly how much they care about the Western offices having any idea of what's going on.
