Pros

I did appreciate the quality of some of my coworkers, and appreciated that they trained me to be a home health nurse when I had no prior experience at this. However, the training was spotty and not organized.

Cons

This agency refuses to listen to suggestions from employees, and fires people for no apparent reason, even employees who have an excellent service record. They overwork their nurses to the point where nurses cannot possibly physically get all their assigned work done in a 24 hr day. They also pass over people despite promises of advancement.

Pros

Staff members are knowledgeable and the owner has a long history in Milam County. Patient satisfaction and care are the ultimate priority.

Cons

Very small company, not a lot of room for growth.

Pros

Flexible work schedule built around your own hours M-F. For RNs, we see between 3-5 patients a day. Amazing management who LISTENS and helps as much as possible when there is an issue. We get paid extra for any visits over our required weekly visits, and we get paid for being on call, and making on call visits, and for weekend visits when we’re on call. All of the staff is super helpful, and will go out of their way to do what they need to make your job easier. Like drive 20 miles to bring you something, if you forgot a supply, or ran out, or whatever.

Cons

Charting, but that’s in any home health job. Or nursing job, honestly. When an on call weekend is bad, but they’re usually not. At least we get paid extra for them, though!
