Pros

Work life balance, competitive pay

Cons

Upper management disconnected from employees. Company has no money to support reps at trade shows and traveling to customers. (500M+ in debt). Comp plan has not been updated in years or delivered on time. High turnover and no backend processes in place only create more confusion and delays for the customer. The business model is broken and the company is desperately trying to change it to become profitable. Imagine attaching a SaaS sale to reselling a battery with a 9-12 month lead time, not a winning strategy.

Pros

I've really enjoyed the culture here at Stem. Working directly with the leadership team and HR has been an incredible experience. Their dedication to creating a supportive and inclusive culture is truly inspiring. Work-life balance is highly prioritized, with flexible policies that support employees.

Cons

No significant cons—just the usual growing pains of a company striving to improve, which leadership actively addresses.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and we are thrilled to hear that you have enjoyed your time here at Stem! The organization is growing and through growth, comes growing pains; however, it is great to hear that even with some of the recent changes, you have still had a great experience and have felt supported and inspired.

Pros

I learned a lot about energy storage technology and got solid sales curiosity training that strengthened my fundamentals and confidence in customer conversations.

Cons

The pace and ambiguity could be exhausting, and the leadership style sometimes felt unreasonable and fear-based, which made it harder to do sustainable, high-quality work.
