Pros

Work on hard problems Ground level employees are incredible, particularly those in the Boulder office Decent comp, but has slowly fallen behind

Cons

Upper management is abysmal. Extremely slow to pivot away from negative margin hardware business. Middle management is meek and often uninformed. Very little mobility. Long time employees get passed over for management's buddies. HR is awful -- Overstaffed and incompetent. Legacy Stem company wants to create processes when it doesn't even have product market fit. Stem doesn't understand PowerTrack (The chief architect brags about not having never logged in to it). Quickly bleeding talent. Best people all got sick of abusive management and left. Needs to execute a pivot into software and services, but is extremely clumsy. Company is generally untrustworthy. General morale at the company is extremely low.

Pros

Some very smart and collaborative team members who want to make a difference. The promise of the technology is what drives everyone there.

Cons

Other reviews call it out. The AI isn't AI. There is manual work running calculations. Senior leadership hired that treats team members like dogs. Heavy turnover. Leadership doesn't care about morale.
