Pros

Nothing feels as good as leaving this company

Cons

I only worked at this company for a week. My bad for making such a bad decision to join this company. I can't figure out how this company has been in business so long with the way they treat their sales reps. Perhaps they hire them simply to be telemarketers and the churn works in their favor. The other 3 sales reps were only at the company for only 4 - 8 months. And the sales rep who was there for 8 months just quit and another one was interviewing. The two owners are a husband and a wife. The husband rules by intimidation. He will make you feel like an idiot for asking a question about something you rightfully have no idea what the answer is. I heard one negative comment after another, And I never heard something positive. There wasn't a single document - other than marketing literature - that provided any information to help me sell better. I believe this is because his lack of trust in his employees. The wife was dehumanizing. She never bothered to welcome me to her company and passed by my desk 10x a day and never bothered to acknowledge my existence. In regards to "reading the fine print', be sure to read the HR Manual BEFORE you accept the job. There are things in that manual that make you think you are working in a McDonalds. One last thing - you will be required to sign a global, 12-months non-compete the forbids you to not only sell similar software for a competitor, but also forbids you to even consult in the industry. Please note, this is most probably not enforceable in CT. Since I have resigned, I have received 3 emails and letters reminding me of the non-compete.

Pros

Though there can be busy days with a lot to learn, there's a team more than happy to work together and share knowledge toward a common goal. Its known that everyone can make a mistake - but there is room to take responsibility and be part of the solution. That kind of understanding and teamwork isn't found everywhere.

Cons

There is a lot to do that can pull you in different directions. It's never overwhelming and is manageable with organization but it's important to know.

Pros

It was interesting getting into a very niche market and gaining an understanding of the audience. Got to work with some good people, too.

Cons

It's a little unnerving when you realize the boss is reading your emails.
