Pros
The position offered a reasonable starting salary and the office location was convenient with easy access to public transport. The team members were generally friendly and there was a good selection of free coffee in the break room.
Cons
Projects often lacked clear goals and management frequently changed requirements without notice. This not only made coding a challenge but also significantly demotivated our team as our hard work often seemed wasted. The work culture pushed for long hours with an unofficial expectation to work evenings and weekends. This led to burnout and a high turnover rate within my team. There was little to no opportunity for advancement. Roles seemed to be filled based on tenure rather than merit, and there was minimal recognition for hard work or innovative ideas.
