Progression is a popularity game and used to keep you working hard with no intentions of following through. Management guilt trip staff in order to have them work longer or out of their availability when its suits them. Management using personal situations as a weapon in order to rationalise their unprofessionalism. Intense pressure put on employees, especially if there is a visitor (to make management look better than they are). Management CONSISTENTLY gaslight employees. Management gossip about associates amongst themselves and with other associates. Unattainable expectations regarding dedication to the company. Management expect one to live breathe and die for the company, but will happily remind you how replaceable you are. Calling in sick will result in you being interrogated or accused of lying (even on your first time) and being guilted to the point of forcing yourself to attend work regardless of your condition due to fear of greater repercussions.
