Pros

Free coffee.... NBC Tower.. Decent crash course on Training you .... on how to lie.

Cons

-This company is not ethical. They teach and force you to lie on the phone -People will steal sales right from under you -Be careful, they will fire you a day before you're supposed to get a deal, just so the manager can take credit and commission for the deal -This place is run like a sweatshop. They basically chain you down to your desk all day while forcing you to make 200 cold calls (min.) Thinking about making a personal call? forget it! Oh, and if you want to use your cell phone, prepare to be reprimanded. -If you are one minute late to work in the morning or one minute late from lunch, there will be consequences. If you enjoy freedom as much as the next guy- this is not the company for you. -The lies and stories they make you tell on each sales call are abhorrent. This is not what a thriving organization would promote. -The CEO is never in the office, but on the off chance he is in town- don't dare expect to see him. You'd think he'd want to make an appearance once in a while to thank his staff and shake the hands of those who contribute to his organization. But instead he hides with his tail between his legs because he and everyone else on earth are fully aware of the unethical organization he runs. To fund his lavish life, which is built on a bed of lies and empty promises. -Dont expect to get promoted here -Want to bring your lunch? Make sure its not something that needs to be heated up. They don't have microwaves. They're against company policy... yes, I'm serious. -Want to make money? Dont expect that here. Even if you are doing okay for yourself in the position, you still won't make enough to sustain a comfortable, no, scratch that, a needs-based lifestyle. -Do yourself a favor, unless you are straight out of college living with your parents and not having to pay for anything but drinking binges and clothes at walmart, don't take this sub-entry-level position. -The promises they make you at the time of them offering you the position will not be kept. That is a fact.

Pros

I loved the people I worked with. If you're a sports fan, you will find this job more enjoyable than those who are not. However it is not necessary to be a sport fanatic to do this job. If you are really persistent and are able to stay positive during tough times then you will succeed. You also have to be able to talk to people easily. The training here is excellent, but the job is very tough. If you are good at sales, you will enjoy the uncapped commission structure. The training is also continuous; there are several training meetings each week to help you develop as a sales executive.

Cons

The yearly salary for a sales executive (which everyone has to start off as) is below minimum wage. They do offer uncapped commission but you have to be very good at sales to even make a sale. What they don't tell you is that sales are usually few and far between, unless you're a manager who can make business about once a month. The packages you sell are usually priced very high, so it's good commission wise, but can be harder to sell. The job can also be very mundane. If you need variety in your job responsibilites, this job isn't for you. You basically are making calls all day with a maximum of 2 hours of research each day. There is a very high turnover rate because people don't anticipate how hard this job is. I can't tell you how many people have quit before their first month while I was working there.
