Pros

There is a lot of room for promotion. There are new stores opening all the time. If you hit quota and show your value you can get promoted within 3 months. If you know people in the company they can help you get hired and promoted.

Cons

The company is so slick with the way they promote. They promise you a bonus and you find out mid month you will not get that bonus. The company promotes you only to demote you. Other people that have connections and get promoted right away while others have to wait months even years to watch someone who is not qualified to get promoted get promoted. There are many RAMS holding it down for their stores and they do not get promoted. Now there is a checklist RSMs have to sign off saying that their RAMs are ready to get promoted but a smart RSM who uses their RAM will never promote them. In addition, the company has now changed the RAM structure cutting our RAM bonus pay and making us sell. How are RAMs suppose to coach and develop their reps, worry about OPS, help there RSMs, learn how to be an RSM, and sell all at the same time. For the RAMs that have not been hitting their quotas will like this opportunity to sell and maximize on their commission but for the RAMs that are worried about actually advancing to a RSM position it is going to be harder when they have to start selling. Major pay cut for RAMs.
