Pros

-Reliable email and phone system for when you have to ask your coworkers countless questions on the ever changing policies -Sometimes head office will send you holiday grab bags (we got popcorn for Halloween) -So many virtual trainings -You'll learn to multitask quickly by doing other people's jobs

Cons

-What is expected of you can change at the drop of a hat -Meetings will happen that even your supervisor won't know what it's about -Lack of empathy from direct supervisors when you express your workload is too high -Slow claims system that crashes weekly -Supervisors that contradict each other -Having 15 people quit in the span of 4 months -No upward mobility -Expected to do higher level work than your actual job title (example, CA doing MO or Examiner work) -Working past your hours just so you don't get buried in tasks -Required to divulge health information and go to multiple yearly medical appointments to qualify for company health insurance

Pros

Some managers have empathy. Some coworkers are enjoyable to work with.

Cons

If you like working lots of overtime with no pay, this is the place for you. They’ve been sued in California for this. You will not be trained on antiquated software they claim is “state of the art.” You will hear managers say vile things about other employees. You will be inundated with more claims than any one adjuster can handle without working copious amounts of uncompensated overtime. If you are an adjuster on a team with a male assistant, you will do all of your own clerical work. Female assistants are run ragged. You will get no raises regardless of performance. You will be micromanaged to death. Every single adjuster on my team now is on prescription medication for hypertension and anxiety. You will get a pathetic amount of annual PTO and when you use it, it will take 3 weeks to catch up because nobody has time to work on your claims due to their own absurd caseload. During a global pandemic, your pay will be cut while your workload drastically increases. Thanks for the $25 gift card that was partially funded by picking the pockets of managers instead of the pocket of the millionaire who runs this entire dumpster fire. This company is a perfect example of everything wrong with the corporate world. You will work yourself into bad health or worse so that one person can jet around on his private planes while demonstrating unfathomable greed and no capability for empathy.
