I worked at TRISTAR Risk Management (Less than a year)

    Pros

They have a flexible working schedule.

    Cons

Management including regional is the worst I have ever worked for. They do not pay WC benefits timely. Forms and notices are incorrect. No support from HR or corporate office. Salaries are as low as the morale. Manager and team gossip about other meme era of management and employees. Hostile work environment. No training of employees

    Advice to Management

Retire and close the business in CA

I worked at TRISTAR Risk Management full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There was nothing positive about working here.

    Cons

The benefits are terrible. The pay is beyond low. The management is ridiculous. The caseloads are far too high. The homeless people problem was completely out of control. There was never enough parking. The plumbing in the building was disgusting. If it rained the parking lots turning into lakes.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating your employees like trash. We know we are replaceable but we are humans that are deserving of respect.

I worked at TRISTAR Risk Management full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I can only think of one pro....Able to work remotely.... this is the only pro for working for this company!

    Cons

This was the worst company I ever worked for in my career. The computer system was not the state of the art, management was a joke. They will pay you good money to come onboard and then you will NEVER hear a word about merit increases or reviews.... although it's in their EMPLOYEE MANUAL, which the company refers to when management has a problem with you. Benefits are HORRIBLE!!! Nothing good to say about this company!! They are a joke in the insurance industry!!

    Advice to Management

Why bother...... they will not take professional criticism!

I have been working at TRISTAR Risk Management full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

TRISTAR genuinely cares about its employees. You can tell a lot about a Company by the caliber and tenure of its employees and TRISTAR has a lot to be proud of with regard to both. TRISTAR employees, at all levels, seem to carry a sense of pride about the Company and consistently practice TRISTAR values of Respect, Integrity, Trust and Excellence. So proud to be working for this Company and the amazing teams of people across the country who contribute, encourage and share in the success of each TRISTAR location.

    Cons

(Con) Some disconnection between the various TRISTAR Companies or Departments that may be relying on each others services for client satisfaction however; (Pro) when issues arise, all levels of management take the time to listen to concerns and quickly bring the necessary players together to brainstorm and develop a resolution that is satisfactory to all involved.

    Pros

None. Sales undermines claims. It's a good ole boys mentality.

    Pros

I cannot find five good words to say about this company

    Cons

Too high of a workload. If you get laid off even after 10 years of faithful service, there is no severance.

    Advice to Management

Tom Veal needs to get into the field and understand how hard people work. I know he said he doesn't invest in his employees because he figures they will only last 3 years. Have a heart

I worked at TRISTAR Risk Management full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Competitive pay and great employees.

Employees are very caring and compassionate and wants you to succeed. Diverse and inclusive environment.

Knowledgeable examiners coming from all different experiences.

    Cons

    Benefits are poor.

Volatile work environment. If a customer leaves for an competitor, your job is in jeopardy so expect to get "laid off".

    Work environment can be political.

Systems are not "state of the art" as they claim. They are obsolete and are in dire need of renewal.

Allowing people with untreated bipolar disorder to manage. Horrendous working experience with this manager. Never for once have I worked with such a psychotic individual. You dread going into work every day.

    Advice to Management

    Upgrade your benefits and system.

Run a psych test on your supervisors before hiring them.
