Having worked at other industries before joining this bank, I do see TCB offers a more professional work environment and opportunities for you to grow.
Cons
I must say TCB has one of the WORST HR DEPARTMENT ever: - HRBPs doing everything but supporting employees. They show up when they need to remind you to log goals, do surveys… because they have a completion KPI. Besides what is directly their KPIs or in their interests, they NEVER respond to your questions and will refuse to help you. I have worked in more than 1 divisions at TCB and all HRBPs I’ve encountered are useless. I’ve seen people complain of being overworked (who isnt at TCB), being bullied, being wrongfully acused by their peers,… and in all those situations HRBP turned a blind eye. If you cannot do this job, please help the decency to step down so other people can take on the HRBP role. Employees need support from you guys not total silent and a bad attitude when you finally respond. TCB has a huge culture problem and HRBP is doing nothing to solve or improve it. - Other departments in HR are not much better but they certainly are not bad like HRBP.
