Pros
Before Tellabs started the layoffs and the industry took a dive, the environment was great. Even after some downturn, upper management did what they could to keep things positive and to try to reinvent themselves.
Cons
Layoffs were a definite con and the more they occurred, the more some managers used it against you. Just do this or you could be on the next list. People became afraid to speak up when things weren't quite right. Outsourcing many positions and now the acquisition of Tellabs are not good signs.
