Business Outlook
Pros
Hiring staff eager to fill many available temporary assignments.
Cons
Extremely low pay with no benefits (working full-time earns about $12,000 a year, well below the U.S. poverty threshold of $19,073). Many schools are not looking to hire full time which means employees may be stuck as temps for a very long time. Temp agency also does not want you to become hired at schools because they take a percentage of your pay.
