Pros

Love my coworkers, lunches are often provided when on day shift. No lunches on night shift. Great benefits from both TUHS and union. Awesome tuition reimbursement.

Cons

Almost never get a lunch break. Patients can get very violent. Security is not the best. Main campus ED is a trauma heavy site. Poor work life balance as the ED techs at main campus are still working 5 8hour shifts compare to the other TUHS hospitals whose ED techs are work 3 12hour shifts.

Pros

I cannot think of any pros which ultimately led to me quitting

Cons

1) PI never trained me; they left the responsibility to labmates who were not instructed on what to teach me 2) Simple lab questions were never answered 3) Never gained access to my work building despite asking multiple times 4) Experiments were given constantly (almost daily) which led to an unrealistic list/new experiments were given priority so I did not have time to process data 5) Passive aggressive comments became a daily occurrence no matter how polite and professional I was 6) Manager and next door lab manager (often collaborated) were seen as unorganized, rude, and unhelpful by staff
