The Borgen Project

Is this your company?

I have just completed my 12 week internship and it was amazing! - Writer/Journalist The Borgen Project Employee Review

Pros

The internship pushed me beyond my own capabilities( which is not necessarily required but I wanted to push myself). I produced articles every two weeks with very effective editors who provided great advice and support. The fundraising side did challenge me as I have a small family but once I stated that I was going to do a 2 day hike across two countries (England to Wales, 33 miles) I exceeded my fundraising goal quickly. Not only doing this for the amazing non-profit, it helped me to learn perseverance and determination through tough times (that involved blisters, getting lost, the beaming sun and thrashing rain). The support I also received from Carrie really made the remote position seem in person and I always had open communication and it was so easy to query and ask any questions I had. Volunteering for this charity has truly helped me grow as a person and I encourage everyone who wants to improve their CV and help do some good in the world to volunteer for The Borgen Project.

Cons

I would say the only potential negative was that it was an American-based charity so when I was scheduled meetings and relevant training videos they were in different time zones to myself.

Pros

Interviewed with a woman who was super nice and polite! Mostly behavioral questions.

Cons

The internship itself had very repetitive tasks and didn't provide a lot of learning.
