Pros
I never write these sort of reviews but felt compelled to after seeing one in particular. This company isn't that big which makes it almost impossible for me to say anything specific without people knowing who I am but here goes: First off- I had a generally positive experience here. Money isn't everything, but I was #paid when I was given more work or a promotion. Sounds like the bare minimum, I know, but more than I'd been treated with in the past. I liked almost all of the people I worked with. Some of the people here come from the media world and if you know, you know. I think the company did a good job of not hiring your typical "editor" type but a couple of the manager level employees seemed so stuck in their "traditional media" ways. It wasn't that they were rude or anything like that, but leadership wanted things to be different and one team member in particular just didn't seem to like being told a vision that was different than their own. A lot of great ideas were being swatted down by this specific person. When they left (on their own from what I could tell), things improved, and we started being able to create what we wanted to create. I think the couple of people I'm referencing really just weren't good fits for this specific company. (the company has a start-up style culture so consider that if you’re used to bigger companies). Another big reason I'm saying any of this is because I had a serious personal issue and the CEO helped me in a way that I will not describe because it's going to probably just create a bunch of people going to her looking for help. People can say what they want about the company but the CEO is the real deal, and no employer has, and I'm sure no employer ever will, do what she did for me.
Cons
Work ebbed and flowed. Sometimes it was not super busy at all and other times it was BUSY.
