Pros

- Opportunity to work with some interesting brands. - Some good people work there that are friendly, but unfortunately we all mostly bonded over the fact that our work environment wasn't great. - Apparently they hire well, because everyone there works very hard. Because of this, the employees are unfortunately taken advantage of.

Cons

- Lack of trust and support from management and CEO for no reason. - Management isn't properly trained to manage people. They're essentially promoted into managerial roles as a natural progression, though it shouldn't be. - CEO can be verbally abusive and frequently displays aggressive behaviour. - CEO and management have clear favourites in the office. - Management told employees that gossiping isn't permitted, yet they gossiped amongst each other about employees. - Management encourages burnout culture by keeping tabs on how long people are at their desk or seem like they're working. - Management and CEO overpromise to clients about expertise and then push unrealistic tasks and timelines onto employees. -Open space office makes it difficult to work and it was hard to have work-from-home days approved by management. - Employees are expected to work overtime, yet they are very underpaid. - Management preaches that there's great company culture, but there isn't and they don't make any attempts to make it better for employees. - In the beginning stages of COVID, most companies had already closed their offices to put their employees' health and safety first. Up until the day that Trudeau publicly announced that people shouldn't travel in to work because of COVID, Thinkingbox was making people come into the office (even after many expressed concern for their safety and voiced that they were uncomfortable about this). - CEO and management are all about perception. They only care about what the company looks like from the outside when they should focus on what's happening on the inside. Example: the company went through multiple rounds of layoffs, but continued to advertise that they were hiring for multiple positions.

Pros

I came to Thinkingbox by way of a merger and my talents were immediately noticed. I was able to grow my career quickly and found a place that allowed me to take advantage of my strengths and build a stronger team. We have been able to grow our business with direct brands and it's been rewarding to do so. While growth comes with its own challenges and no company is perfect my time here has created a unique learning experience and a great opportunity for me to advance my career.

Cons

Connecting with teammates across offices can be tricky and the growth mentality can make it tricky to keep priorities straight.
