      Pros

      None. Thompson & Knight is a company I would not recommend to even my own, worst enemy. This is a company I would run away from, fast!

      Cons

      COO was terrible to work with where she would not open to input on opportunities. She was unprofessional and would ridicule and chastise employees in front of large groups. Accepting this position was the worst decision of my career. Benefits are priced in tiers, so the more you make the more you pay in benefits. So if you were close to the top of one tier and got a raise, you could actually net less because suddenly you have to pay a lot more in benefits compared to a modest raise.

      Pros

      Was a top ten best place to work in Dallas for the 7 years I was there. I sat on many Committees and the partners were very dedicated to core values and diversity efforts. The staff was great, top to bottom. We had great MPs who probably worked too hard, but had an incredible impact. The COO had many big successes. We had top-40 profit growth.

      Cons

      Had some struggles with cyclical work and international growth. But I think that's par for a corporate law Firm. Firm put ethics first, so that was a short term economic drag with a long term pay off.
