Pros

There is a lot of exposure to carrier-grade equipment. However, you may not necessarily get to work with it. There is a lot of process and procedure-type work and you will not be in the trenches on a daily basis unless the specific project calls for it. Basically, you're at the mercy of the client's whims.

Cons

Work changes often and you can be easily switched on/off projects.

Pros

Fast paced atmosphere with a take no prisoners attitude throughout. The company has an amazing customer base. The type of projects gives you exposure and experience to projects you would never have the ability to work on otherwise. The changes in the company over the last year and a half have been great, like all the new and highly experienced management team additions have helped a lot. Also, the new product strategy is great. I just wish there were more opportunities for us legacy to transition over to it faster.

Cons

Look at my Pros... Its a double edge sword. This is not a company for the weak of heart. You need to prove yourself every day. If you are looking for a relaxing job, this is not for you. They are very competitive, so be prepared for long hours and being asked to commit to the success of the company. They reward those who perform and the ones that do not do not hang around long. You are responsible for your own success at Thrupoint. Do not expect one atta-boy to get you anyplace. You need to show you are a consistent at bat hitter. Repeated success on projects gets you the promotions.
