I worked at ThruPoint (More than a year)

    Pros

Positive work environment, room for growth, free coffee and lunch on Mondays. Continued education and sales training. Company paid for P&C licensing. Amazing benefits.

    Cons

Only con was the pay! Low hourly rate and commission structure was not always realistic. Would not change conversion limits when call volume was lower.

    Advice to Management

I applied online and was contacted for an interview. The initial interview was very casual. The second interview was more relevant to the position. I was contacted by HR a few days later and offered the position. I was told during the interview what the salary range was. I found out later that I was offered a much lower salary than what current employees were making.

I have been working at ThruPoint full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Pleasant people to work with.

    Cons

No professional development. No foresight with regard to retaining talent and opening up further opportunity for engagement. Sadly, no matter the pretense they're just another bodyshop.

    Advice to Management

You could be much more of a boutique provider of talent if you more firmly entrenched yourselves in alignment with your clients, realizing, expecting and predicting their needs. You need to shift from the reactive to the proactive.

    Pros

Consultants and project directors are extremely knowledgeable and proficient.

    Cons

Executive management provided no support to achieve defined objectives. Couldn't develop networking consulting business for defense customers without Facility Clearance. Despite sponsorship, execs never bothered due diligence.

    Advice to Management

Stop flying around to London and UAE and concentrate on core business.
