Pros

They get some very cool projects. Co-workers and lower management (ie supervisors) are mostly very supportive, talented and helpful. Decent benefits (health coverage, group RRSP). "5 Second Day" is a great annual initiative that allows their employees a chance to stretch their creative muscles in a way no other studio provides.

Cons

Starting in 2019, there was a major shift in management, and as a result, it feels like the LA studio has a lot more sway on how the Vancouver studio is operated. In the "growing pains" to make all the Titmouse studios uniform, the Vancouver studio has lost a lot of that spark that made it one of the greatest animation studios to work at in Vancouver (and lost a lot of their long-term employees in the mix.) Gone are the days of full, honest communication between employees and management. Now days are full of double-talk, and job insecurity. Job creep has also seeped its way into employees' lives more and more, slowly giving employees more and more responsibilities outside of what they're already expected to do, resulting in a tired, and overloaded workforce (this might have been a result of the studio expanding too quickly.) It feels like upper management doesn't care about all their employees, or at the very least, doesn't treat them with the respect that their talents deserve. Old management made an effort to get to know everyone and worked with artists if there was an issue. In the new management's defense, they do seem overworked as well, but they also make no effort to talk to any of the artists on the floor unless the studio's morale is troublingly low.

Pros

Fun creative atmosphere and excellent communication with employees.

Cons

There isn't enough animation work thanks to AI and a volatile industry (not Titmouse's fault of course).
