Pros
The actual job of flight attendant was cool. There is absolutely no glamour left in the airlines. If you are thinking about becoming a flight attendant because of the prestige, then you are thinking wrong. As a flight attendant you are a safety aware waitress. However, you are a waitress who can be in 4 cities in one day. Not that you get to see those cities,most the time you're lucky if you even get to see the airport of a city. I've been to Boston 50 times, i've only got to see Boston from the airport to the hotel.
Cons
The pay is terrible!!! Flight crews are only paid while in air, or once the aircraft door closes. This means if your flight is delayed you are sitting and waiting just like everybody else, and you will only be getting paid about $1.50/hr; so you'll be sitting in an airport somewhere having your day delayed, getting paid around a dollar an hour. They fire flight attendants for any reason at all. They really make sure flight attendants know they are a dime a dozen. They will take away your days off, they will screw you out of pay, they will accuse the flight attendant of any delay in flight. These are not all just my personal experiences, i still have many friends that work for this company and I don't think i've ever heard anyone say something nice about the company.
