Working at home comes with its own cons - constant interruptions, phone, door, etc.

Some managers are ex transcriptionists/editors so they have a great handle on the work. IT dept one of the best I have ever worked with in trans. Good tools/style guides for most accounts. Compensation for broadband, foot pedal and speakers available to those in need.

Merger with M*Modal killed line counts and opportunities to get jobs. Inconsistent proofing editors send mixed messages about style/formatting. Some accounts are almost entirely ESL with poor quality audio; not TTM's fault, but it kills the counts, thus it's a deterrent.
