Pros
Good pension, good personalities. Pay is competitive for new starters.
Cons
IT directors come and go so regularly there is no clear strategy that persists for longer than 18 months. The bureaucracy is staggering and the amount wasted on unnecessary projects would be viewed as scandalous by shareholders if they knew the extent. If promoted from within, expect meagre increases that eventually get you somewhere close, but not at, parity with new starters.
