Pros

Great coworkers when it came to the Sales and Technician teams. Casual atmosphere and flexible hours.

Cons

Where do I start.... 1. Benefits, absolutely horrible. Health/Dental insurance being turned off because Corp. cant afford to pay for it and they don't tell their employees about it until after the fact. Our paychecks would still reflect our money being deducted yet we aren't receiving medical coverage. FRAUD Corp. isn't depositing 401K into employees accounts and once again taking MY money out of my checks. Nothing has been put in my account for three months which I just discovered... FRAUD again. (I'll be reporting them). 2. Most unethical company I could have ever worked for. Turnover is high due to the fact that management doesn't treat their employees right. Why would you want to work for a company that hides their financial struggles and doesn't make it seem like they even want you there in the first place? Definitely the worst first full-time job I've had out of college. I couldn't be happier to get out of there.

Pros

It provided me with great opportunities to expand my skills and knowledge in the Fire Alarm and Low Voltage industries. I've also had the opportunity to work with good people.

Cons

All though I didn't work in Sylmar/head quarters, the overall feel of my local branch had changed from positive and upbeat to negative and down trodden. The cash flow problems could be felt and at times affected me and my family personally. The owners were upbeat and apologetic when addressing these cash flow problems and did their best to work through these problems on a personal level with me. After working for 5 years to earn it, vacation/PTO was cut from 18 days to just 12 days per year in 2015. 12 days just isn't enough time. I work to live not the other way around.
