Pros
Turntide always had an amazing group of people especially at the working level. At its peak, it was an amazing place to work. Turntide had a remote-friendly culture, and everyone was motivated to get things done. Can't say the same for the execs who made decisions that ended up Turntide die a slow death.
Cons
Execs basically ruined any chance of this company succeeding. The old CEO made some poor decisions to make a big splash, and also made bad decisions in executive hiring, which ultimately led to him being ousted by our board. We tried to grow too fast when we needed a more scalable growth approach. Since mid-2022 it has been random and rampant layoffs every couple months with no sense of job security thanks to these poor decisions. To make it worse, after the board took over the company, the interim CEO and CFO are terrible at any communication and have been invisible leaders doing nothing except for announcing new layoffs.
