Pros

The Australian office has the best culture globally. Although size is definitely a contributing factor here, the team here in AU make any of the apparent issues globally seem almost irrelevant. There are a lot of seemingly good changes going on globally, which we are looking forward to, as these are always a sign of the need for change, which is also increasingly apparent. The management trees in the AUNZ region function effectively and any team member with a direct management line in this region feel supported, happy and enjoy the culture of this. Although there are large scale issues with the SMT, which we are fairly removed from, this is never enough to want to leave this company or job. It's a great place to grow, and at a regional level, learn from some of the best at what they do. There are also some excellent benefits here, like covered gym memberships and allowance for health insurance, a good move toward mental health awareness, etc.

Cons

Filtered approval, timezones, lack of communication are all serious problems that the other regions seem to avoid taking responsibility for, but things that our local support and management also acknowledge, and constantly work to improve, so at this stage there isn't much more I could expect.

Pros

UNiDAYS is a company filled with enthusiastic and fun people. When we were in-office, I was always excited to come into work each day and spend time with my coworkers. Many of those coworkers are now friends, even after leaving the company.

Cons

For the NY office, the fact that almost all of the other employees are were in the UK sometimes made communication challenging. Everyone does try and do their best, though.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback about your time at UNiDAYS. I’m really glad to hear that you enjoyed your time working here and made friendships that will continue past your employment. Communication is more important than ever now that we’re working remotely, so I appreciate your point around communication across different offices. We have already taken feedback on board and recently adopted Q&A sessions between the US team and the Leadership team to provide updates on our strategic goals as well as answer any local market questions. We’ve also introduced the UNiDAYS Mindful Charter, which has guidance around being conscious of time zones and methods of communication. We will continue to build on this to improve communication between the offices. We appreciate you providing your feedback and wish you the best in your next role.

Pros

Health health health health benefits

Cons

It is unbelievably difficult place to work if you want to do truly great creative work. The budget is very small and schedule for the projects tend to be irrational. Getting warnings for working overtime or being asked to lower standards is unbearable. Working with the office in a different time zone is a real pain and the difference in work ethic is pretty irritating. Also not a huge fan of the company culture making rules for everything and interrogate workers without accurately assessing the issues. They create process for the sake of process making it very hard to get the work done. They serve as a nest for territorial and uncooperative people too.
