Pros

- People here are passionate about building the best game technologies and supporting each other - Interesting projects that make direct impacts on game industry - Pay is better than most game studios - Flexible hybrid work mode

Cons

- Bad leadership. C-suite claimed they take full responsibility for the recent layoffs, but showed no accountability and did nothing - The C-suite don’t care about the employees. No vision and all they do is using the “metaverse” buzzword again and again. They just want to sell their shares asap before the U stock prices drop further - Poor communications. Our wellness benefits were cut on the same day of the layoff and the decision was announced via an email at night - Low morale due to the poor management and layoffs

Pros

-Flexible WFH environment -Decent work life balance and good benefits for the US based employees

Cons

-CEO and CFO insist on being based in New York, when the Company is based in SF. Earnings calls are at 5:30am because screw you West Coast. -CFO will stop at nothing until all the G&A, Accounting, Tax, and, Finance team members are located in Bangalore in an effort to cut costs. Offshoring is massive here and will only continue to expand. -Constant anxiety about layoffs. Sometimes they announce mass layoffs, but more often do it in smaller waves so as to not rattle the cage. -Top heavy org structure. There's probably as many or more SVP, VPs, Sr. Dir level folks as there are individual contributors/leads.
