Pros

Good place to learn about lending (well-run bank with few major lending issues). Opportunity to work with senior management on lending deals.

Cons

The culture is one that creates a division between the "haves and have nots." Officers are given better benefits (stock options, more vacation), and non-officers are made to park at the back of the parking lot away from the building. CEO does not include non-officers in update meetings on the health of the company. Benefits are overall fair, but not exceptionally competitive.

Pros

- Very good learning experience - Knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful people in the office

Cons

The Chicago office is a commercial site, so all other interns for the bank sit in either New Jersey, New York, or Florida. Not necessarily a bad thing because it helped form better connections with everyone in the office, but networking with other interns was more difficult.

Pros

Not one thing is good. Do not work here

Cons

Retail is a nightmare. Senior Management is clueless. Lots of older managers being “laid off” due to position being eliminated. But positions not eliminated.
