Pros

flexibility,remote work policy, benefits, PTO

Cons

Avoid this company. Over the past couple of years, things have deteriorated dramatically. Although the company is still profitable, it is under heavy pressure from investors who aren’t getting the results they expect. The consequence has been monthly layoffs, with no real strategy to stabilize the situation. Since 2024, my understanding is that nearly 600 employees have been laid off in North America alone, and around 1,500 worldwide. Clients are fully aware of the constant departures and the lack of decisive leadership. Many are choosing to leave as well, creating a vicious cycle that the company does not seem able—or willing—to address. The work environment has become extremely toxic. Talented employees are let go, often to be replaced in lower-cost regions. Business performance continues to decline, and current leadership does not appear capable of turning things around. Many of the strong contributors have already left, or are actively trying to. In addition, the organization is struggling through a difficult cultural shift following multiple acquisitions. Senior leadership is pushing a consulting model in which employees feel like numbers—easily replaceable at any moment to save costs. There is a severe lack of vision, alignment, and cohesion. Everyone is moving in different directions, morale is dropping fast, and negativity is spreading across teams. Over time, I lost trust in upper management and ultimately decided to leave, especially as so many colleagues resigned, were openly planning to leave, or were laid off. I used to genuinely enjoy working at Valtech, but the company has changed drastically. I cannot recommend joining on a permanent basis at this time. The company motto is said to be “Share – Dare – Care.” Unfortunately, in my experience, this could not be further from the truth. No one shares, no one cares, and the culture has become extremely unhealthy.

Pros

Great work environment. Real commitment to diversity that goes beyond the surface level.

Cons

Thin spread of employees that results in a lot of work on each contributor individually.

Pros

Great well known clients & interesting projects.

Cons

There are no growth opportunities; people managers don't know how to lead; there are layoffs every 2 months for the past 18 months; there is no training (employees are told to learn on their own time / weekends) because if they are not >50% chargeable, they are on the RIF list. The company grew through acquisitions but never integrated or unified the various companies. There are no standard processes, everything is ad hoc. There were no raises this year and no bonuses either of the last 2 years.
